A tune up is a collection of preventative services performed by one of our ASE-certified technicians to ensure your vehicle continues to maximize performance. While the term may have meant something else in the past, a tune up is still one of the best ways to keep your car healthy.

Our ASE-Certified technicians will likely perform the following services during a tune up.

  • Fluid Replacement – We will top off your essential liquids, such as brake fluid, engine oil, transmission fluid, and coolant. Keeping these fluids clean is a crucial part of vehicle maintenance. During your tune up, our service technician will inspect these fluids and replace them if needed.
  • Filter Replacement – Your vehicle relies on four main filters: the cabin filter, oil filter, engine filter, and air filter. They are responsible for preventing contaminants from polluting their respective areas of your car. Our service technician will inspect your car’s filters and make replacements as needed.
  • Ignition System Repair – The components of your car’s ignition system, including spark plugs, wires, and coils, can wear down over time. This can hurt performance. During your tune up service, our technician will examine your car’s ignition system and replace any parts that show damage or wear.
  • Belt and Hose Replacement – Belts support your alternator, water pump, and other systems. Hoses move fluids in and out of your engine. Belts and hoses experience daily wear and tear, and replacing them over time is a normal part of vehicle maintenance. Our tune up technician will inspect your belts and hoses and replace areas that show wear.

Why Are Tune Ups Important?

A tune up service allows your vehicle to receive preventative maintenance on a regular schedule. Tune ups protect critical components of your car and can help optimize fuel economy. Following a regular tune up schedule is a great way to ensure your vehicle continues to deliver a smooth and reliable ride.
