I know for me one hard thing about choosing a mechanic is brushing off all previous notions I have about mechanics Potentially not treating my car how they would treat their own car. It was obviously super busy and I knew I would need to leave it until Monday to get looked at. Staff was very informative and communication was excellent. This shop is the best. They did everything they could so I would have minimal time without my car such as having all parts ready before they scheduled the repair. Engine Misfire: One of the primary signs of a timing belt or chain issue is engine misfires. The timing belt or chain synchronizes the rotation of the crankshaft and the camshaft so that the engine’s valves open and close at the correct times. If the belt or chain is worn or damaged, it can slip and cause the engine to misfire. If left unresolved, this can lead to a catastrophic engine failure.
Ticking Noise from the Engine: A ticking noise from the engine is often indicative of a worn or loose timing belt or chain. The belt or chain connects the crankshaft to the camshaft, controlling the opening and closing of the engine valves. If it’s loose, it can produce a ticking or clicking sound as the engine runs. This should not be ignored as it may lead to serious engine damage.
